Royal Ascot preparations at HQ

After a week where the weather was more like that of late November the ground will scare off many punters and dent their confidence. A number of horses will be getting in their last race before the Royal meeting, one of which catches Crockford's eye - Ice Pearl (2.55 Newmarket). After a recent good win the sprinter was marked up for favouritism for the Wokingham. His quick return to the racecourse and the need to make the cut for the Royal Ascot prize makes him an interesting proposition this afternoon.

A good show here will guarantee a shot at the Royal meeting. After an impressive last race Crockford believes this to be a certainty as a follow up.

Prime Exhibit will not mind the ground today and is due to run well for Nicholls at what will be an attractive each way price.
